Learning to be the Light
Today was another beautiful day in Costa Rica! We started off the day with a devotion where we learned about what it means to be the salt and the light of the earth by reading Mathew 5:1-16. Then we had breakfast and discussed our thoughts on the chapter with our peers. Next, we headed to Casa Vida, the local church we are working with. Pastor Alex gave a great message that challenged us to live a life filled with light and without judgment. Afterwards, we had delicious fish tacos and walked through the village of Tamarindo while doing random acts of service for the local people. In the evening we gave away some needed cleats to some local soccer players. Overall, we were able to rest our minds and bodies but we are ready to work hard building the houses tomorrow!
