Hello Haiti!

We made it! After nearly 30 hours of traveling, we arrived at the orphanage tonight around 6:30 pm. We were greeting by dozens of children who all ran from their rooms to come and meet us. The children had the biggest smiles on their faces, and didn’t wait a second to latch on to our students.
After we settled in, we enjoyed our first Haitian meal of the trip, rice and beans, plantains, and chicken.

Once we were finished eating, we gathered around the Zacheius Tree for devotions. Ava and Lauren led us in the devotion, and then we worshipped with some of the Haitian children while our translators played guitar and led the songs.

We spent the rest of the night playing games with the children.

Tomorrow morning we will experience our first Haitian church service, and then we will spend the afternoon painting a house.
