Fun in the Sun

- The soccer festival in Santa Rosa
Hi it's Katherine!! So sorry for the late blog for Saturday! We were very busy with the abundance of kids, soccer gear, and tiredness! Anyway, Saturday morning started with the usual dose of Gallo Pinto and devotions under the cabana, covering the topic of "blessed are the peace makers, for they will become sons of God". After praying and loading up the vans, we made our way to the soccer fields for a kids soccer camp. All the students were split up into different groups and drills, such as passing, shooting, juggling, and other games, with close to 100 kids from ages 4-15! We all tried our best to keep the kids contained, but as we all learned, little kids do not listen to other kids! The race for the best soccer cleats started, leaving Mrs. Inman, Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Shultz to fend for themselves against the army of people! After giving out cleats and some people giving cleats off of their own feet, some of the kids were offered jerseys for their outstanding performance!

- This young tica fit perfectly into Abby's used cleats.

- Tammy helps this young player find the right fit.

- Alex gives her cleats to this young soccer player
- Ryan finds a second home for her cleats.

- Brendan give his cleats to Rene.

- Anna finds a new home for her cleats.
- Nicole gives her cleats to this young tico.

After the intense heat of the soccer camp, we all made our way to an amazing lunch at the Green Papaya, scarfing down burritos and tacos! Feeling revived, we headed to the beach to surf and boogie board! Surfing was so much fun, catching the waves during sunset, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a nice way to cool down and relax.

A little exhausted from surfing, we split up and walked around Tamarindo, buying souvenirs for families and friends! Afterwards, we treated ourselves to the best tacos ever, and some refreshing watermelon lime juice! Overall, Saturday was a nice day to relax and unwind after a hard week of work!
Sincerely,
Katherine Noonan
