First Days
Greetings from Idaho Day 2!!!! We crashed hard last night after a full day. We arrived at HH right at lunch time and immediately immersed ourselves in meeting and reuniting with our precious HH kids. After lunch we had the privilege of hearing the story of HH from Donalee, as well as ask questions and discuss our upcoming week. We then joined all the kids for arts and crafts, dancing, singing and kazoos. After dinner we played a gigantic volleyball game with the worlds largest beach ball.
Our first debrief was very moving as the Valor students shared their thoughts from their first day. Such sweet stories. We as leaders could not have been more proud to watch them jump in enthusiastically and interact with the HH kids and lend a helping hand wherever needed. They have followed every rule and expectation perfectly and it is pure joy watching them serve. Parents, you would be so proud!
Today Tea shared a morning devotion on the day of her baptism. After church Mr Nathan baptized her as all of us stood around a horse trough, braving the chilly temps and wind to celebrate March 24, 2019, the day Tea made her public profession of faith and commitment to follow Jesus all the days of her life. Tears of joy!!!!! We will enjoy some team building this afternoon, bowling and eating at the Boise Fry company-we are in Idaho after all! Carnival games are planned for tonight and basketball, basketball, basketball-the HH kids favorite. We are well, we are blessed and our hearts are full.
Till tomorrow, The Idaho team
