Praise and Pool Time
Today we got to experience an amazing church service here in Rwanda. When we first got to the church, we sat in the back of the church until the pastor asked us to move forward. It immediately created a sense of family in the room. The sermon was about God’s presence with us constantly in every single thing we do. His analogy about marriage and Christianity really hit a lot of us. He said, when asked if you are married no one says maybe or kind of. The same should be with christianity. I was personally hit with the overwhelming joy in song. Everyone in this church was singing and it was incredibly powerful to hear all the voices. I’m so thankful that we got this experience -Lauren
We went swimming at a hotel in Kigali today. We took the Bridge to Rwanda kids to the pool with us. We were teaching them to swim because some of them had never been swimming before or did not know how. A lot of them were very afraid of the water. We helped them learn how to float on their backs and kick and paddle. It was so amazing to see them trust us so much to help them and hold them in the water. We helped so many of them learn how to swim and it was such a joyful experience. I’m glad we could love on them so much and show God’s love through swimming. PS the bugs are attacking but I love you mom and dad. Miss you guys and Bella, Nala, scooter, and Holly -Jenny
We had brunch at a place called heaven today. Probably the best food we have had all trip! Lots of laughing and bonding while we were there. After swimming we ate kabobs with the b2r students. We got to form some amazing friendships with the students. They are awesome people that are super excited to be coming to the United States. So glad we could help then prepare for what it is like in our country. We even got to sing a few songs at my table and really enjoy each other’s company! We all are having a ton of fun but really miss our families. -Evan
