Easter - He is Risen!

He is risen indeed! Joyous Easter to you!   The sky burst with light and sound at midnight this morning with fireworks to celebrate the resurrection! It was an exciting moment and verification once again that God continues to claim Albania as his own. Note the image attached here - it is a special, we're told traditional breakfast served on Easter of hand glazed sweetbreads and red-dyed eggs, representing the body and blood of Christ. Our friends who run the hotel made it especially for us – the same people from the hotel who came to see us.

It’s been a few really busy days as we continued to engage in high school and university student ministry, spent coffee time with some of the Cru leaders to hear of potential for on-going partnerships, and had a major dance competition with the young Albanians to whom we taught a great routine. Additionally, We also enjoyed our annual dinner at Kaon and Danjela Serjani’s home – she is a great cook and so generous…he’s alright too.

This morning church was lovely as many people whom members of our team have touched came to join us for worship! In the last couple days, our team broke into small groups to have coffee and share the Gospel with new friends who haven’t accepted or, in some cases, even heard the Word. Praise God – the love of Jesus shines through our kids. Some of our students had success, being instrumental, as a new group of believers accepted Christ; some, having put their hearts into it, experienced rejection; but all were bold, like Peter, stepping out of the boat in faith. We are proud of all of our young evangelists.

As we wind down our mission trip and prepare to return home, we will enjoy an excursion to explore ancient ruins and a mask factory, before packing up and heading out to the airport.
