Vamos a la Playa

Hi, All!

We started today by being able to sleep in an extra 30 min again, yay! Then, we quickly threw on our swimsuits in preparation for our beach day and headed to breakfast. After breakfast we gathered for our morning devotional and talked about what it's like to wait for God to respond to us in difficult times. As we conversed, we discussed how during a test the teacher is silent. Similar to God continuing to put our faith to the test everyday of our lives. To wrap up the devotional we worshiped the Lord with our favorite worship songs: Oceans, In Christ Alone, Forever Reign, and Beautiful Things. Then we grabbed our things and headed to the beach with the Casa Havilah and Casa Robles kiddos.

Our day was filled with lots of giggles even though the weather wasn't exactly ideal. It poured just before we started to get ready to leave, but we still managed to catch some monstrous waves. Thankfully, nobody drowned this time (HAHA!). We were able to strengthen our relationships with the kids and have something American for lunch...hot dogs! The food has never tasted so good! After lunch it didn't take too long before we got back to the ocean and soccer on the beach. As the rain began to come down harder and faster it only seemed fitting to wrap up the day to make our way back to the compound.

Once we got back, everyone continued the daily fight for the showers like vultures, but everyone managed to get washed up in time for dinner. After a long, exhausting day, we cannot wait to crash into our beds and recharge our bodies for tomorrow.

Hi Mom & Dad! I'm sure your Saturday was not quite the same as mine, but I can almost guess what you're doing each hour! As Tuesday approaches, I am dreaming of the hugging and kissing attacks that I'm gonna get and give! Missing you guys more than ever but only a few short days away!! Cannot wait to tell you all that God has done in my life. Love you so so much! Xoxo McKenna
