Updates from Dachau
Anna's thoughts on Dachau:
Going to Dachau was very sobering and it made me realize how catastrophic and damaging human ambition can be if it's not Kept in check. In the museum, they had baby pictures of some of the prisoners, which reinforced that all of the millions of holocaust survivors had LIVES and families and they laughed and loved and all of that was taken away from them in the blink of the eye. It was very, very sad, but I think it's important for people to know the gruesome details of all of the suffering that occurred, because that makes society never want to let something like that happen again.
Random thoughts from the team:
"Frustratingly deceptive." - Maddie
"I was so speechless I could barely imagine how guards could simply watch the suffering and deliver such beatings. - Morgan J.
"It was very unsettling to think what happened in that place." -Matt
"Impossible to fully grasp." -Jackson
"I am still haunted by the dread of that place." - Nielsen
"It was a beautiful day and yet it was horrifically ugly." - Morgan J.

- This team did such an amazing job today and were complemented by many Americans and Germans who attended Dachau today. Never had one man seen teenagers so deep in thought and respectful of a site.
