Kenya Second Day

Hello from Kenya!

This morning the team traveled to a local Baptist church. The service was very unique, and the worship was incredible. The whole team was singing and dancing around, and Mr. Coffman delivered a very impactful sermon to the youth at the church. It was amazing to see how much the church welcomed us and how much they all truly love Jesus. The best part of the service was when we all stood up and sang Mambo Sawa Sawa to the Kenyans (who promptly laughed at us). After the service we enjoyed a lunch with the congregation.

Afterwards, our group drove to the WEEP center, where we were greeted by multiple welcome songs and dances. A few of us told a Bible story to the kids, and then everyone enjoyed snacks, crafts, and balloon games. Through this we had the opportunity to hang out with HIV positive women and their children and build relationships with them. They were extremely welcoming, and we are excited to see them again tomorrow.

The day closed with a yummy dinner and our nightly journaling/devotions. We are having so much fun in Kenya, and we can’t wait to be able to share all of our stories and pictures with you guys!

With Love,

Rylee and McKenna
