Block Party

Yesterday we served in the morning doing service projects followed by working with the kids in the park. The big event last night was our block party. This huge event was held in one of the parks for the entire community. We grilled hundreds of hot dogs, served lemonade, played games and gave out bibles. It was a great time for our team to meet some of the parents of the kids to whom we have been ministering. Although it was a long day, we were energized to spread the love of Jesus to this community.

Today is our last day serving. Lauren and Hallie did a great job leading us in worship this morning. Our team requested that we sing "Oceans" since that is "the Valor song." None of us are looking forward to saying good-bye to these wonderful children that we have come to love! We just pray that we have planted seeds or watered seeds that will blossom in these children's lives.
